Job Interview Help (30,60,90 day integration plan)
I have an interview for Regional Director of RX Underwriting on Tuesday. Part of my interview is a 15-minute presentation where I discuss what my 30/60/90 day transition plan into the position would be.
Going into the process, I'd have to say I'm a long shot, I've been promoted 4 times in 4 years, but this is another I'd say jump and a half. I had no experience in the industry prior, and the company has a vested interest in keeping me in the market segment that I'm already in. The new job is in an organization in which I've not worked, and with a narrow product focus in which I have some experience, but have never specialized. This presentation also has to be summarized on one page, which I will leave with the decision makers. I plan for the major themes to be: A. Determining strengths and weaknesses of team (15-20 employees), and plotting their development B. My own learning curve with respect to market segment and product C. Short term 'fixes' that can be implemented quickly to gain momentum - a couple of contacts have gotten me up to speed on the challenges that the area faces. Has anyone ever done anything like this? I poked around on the internet a little for structure and ideas, but have found little - any resources I'm missing? For the record I haven't put this off, I found out yesterday .Last edited by lynchjm24 : 03-10-2007 at 07:26 PM. |

Jim,
Our company uses 30/60/90 reports as an on-going management routine to provide updates on major projects. The format is a column for each month plus 91+ days and a section for comments and assignments. Then each major project has a line and major milestones to be achieved in each month.
