They should put this out a couple days before the game itself so people actually read it.

I have ALWAYS been a proponent of this. I think it's a good marketing move.

FWIW, I took a perusing over on the OOTP forums and he's posted these threads - glad some things never change

How many pages will the ootp 2007 manual be?

The manual is still being worked on, that is why it won't be released before the game. I know because i just sent today the customization part of it to battist to format it and put into the manual.

The OOTP2k7 manual is being a huge job, Battist (Steve) is putting tons of hours on it, adding tons of screenshoots etc.

Yes the manual is going to be big. However it shouldn't be that bad. My understanding is it will work a lot like FOF's help file. Hit F1 and your are taken to the appropriate page in the manual to help with the screen you are on.

Yeah, I've been helping with the on-line help, and a lot of crap is going into that from the manual.
