Need Help Please - Batch File for FOF07

Hi all,

I have been trying to make a swap/batch file for FOF07 and cant get it to work. Ive read some old directions from FOF04 but I cant get those to work.

I use WinXP home, if that info is needed.

If anyone can help, I would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Fred

Create a new text file in your FOF2k7 directory. with the following text, with "HFL" being your league name.

Quote:

copy universe\HFL\frfoot.fni universe\
copy universe\HFL\frfoot.fcy universe\
copy universe\HFL\*.bmp pictures\
start frfoot2007.exe

Rename that file from a .txt file to a .bat file.

Place a shortcut from the .bat file to your desktop.

Place the .fni, .fcy, and any banners you want into your "universe\leaguename" folder.

You should then be good to go.

Cheers.

Any clue why this was not addressed in FOF 2007?

Thank you Bear, I ended up just manually swapping files out of the universe folder and it works just as well.

Nope. But it is the one mickey-mouse aspect of the game.

It really is. I'd love to get some new players into the UFL, because there's some newbies that love the old USFL (there's a few of us out there) and WFL, but when I explain how to set it up for multiple teams... gah... you shouldn't have to muck with files and folders just to play a game.

I love the game more than anything, but if there's a version 6g or whatever, PLEASE have it able to set up more than one LEAGUE!

A passionate plea for sanity and the long term health of the game!

Yeah i am in full agreement here. Not sure why the option wasnt included in this edition. It truly seems like a no brainer but not being a programmer i may be wrong. I have logos ready to go but cannot get the dang batch file to work for me. Please implement this if there is a next patch.
