Don't read this if biological functions gross you out.
This hasn't been the worst cold I've ever had.
Most of the really bad stuff - the fever, urge to vomit and/or pass out - happened yesterday. Today, it's been mostly stuffiness and a runny nose. Here's the thing, though. I've never been a 'honker,' in that runny noses don't blow well for me. Dry, clogged noses, sure. Expel the roadblock, and I'm fine. But runny noses, no. A little might come out, but they never unclog. I have to take DayQuil or somesuch to dry my nostrils out and THEN blow my nose. Even a sneeze is usually just a tickle in my nose that tells me 'hey, something's trapped back here.' Nothing happens, but a sneeze tells me that I *can* clear my sinuses. Not today, though. No, today, the sneezes have been doing the sinus-clearing all by themselves. Quite violently, I might add. Can't say I didn't warn you in the thread title. |

One time, I was in a bar with two of my co-workers, I said something funny, and one of them tried to stifle a laugh through his nose. His snot ended up all over his lowball glass. And he didn't realize until he saw the two of us (along with the bartender) staring disgustedly at his drink. He took it pretty well though.

Yeah, see, I've laughed while drinking before and had the *beverage* go flying out my nose. Never bodily fluids, though.
So the explosive sneezes today have been a surprise. |
