Wii's Availability

I've been on a cruise for a week and feel out of the loop! Are Wii's readily available yet or is it still necessary to hunt around?

Thanks!

I've never seen one in the stores yet. Several people at work are actively looking and haven't found one either.

Still Sunday mornings at a lot of places. If you want one, go by a ToysRus next saturday afternoon and ask if they are selling the Wii on sunday, and how many they have. That's how I got mine. Depending on where you live, you may not even have to show up that early either.

I don't have a personal experience with this, but my father-in-law was looking for one a couple months ago and asked us to look around up here, then about 2 weeks ago he said he found one. He is in Jacksonville, FL. Not sure where he got it, but I can find out if it would be helpful to know.

Got to play on a friend's machine yesterday. It was fun, but I prefer sitting down when I play games. No need to burn all those extra calories!

I have never seen one in a store yet.

I was in Costco one day and there was a pallet of them by the registers. That was a couple months ago. I'm glad I took the impulse buy, because I have seen another one for sale since.

Never seen one yet, but I haven't been actively looking (ie: Haven't gone to Toys R Us or any store like that, just Best Buy, etc.).

Of course, most games are played seated. It is actually more comfortable laying back on my couch playing zelda with the wii controls than doing the same thing with the gamecube controller (or a standard game controller) since the hands don't have as much restriction in placement and orientation.

We get 'em on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Best Buy. Not necessarily EVERY T/TH, but every shipment I've gotten in 2007 has been unloaded from the truck between 10-11a on a Tuesday or a Thursday.

I've still never seen one at a store outside of the one I purchased.

Had to wait in line on a Sunday morning before Target opened to get mine a few weeks ago. Haven't seen one just sitting available in a store yet.

I still have yet to see one in retail but I also don't camp for them or anything. However, I do check out quite a few retail locations on a weekly basis.

I'm still looking for a second nunchuk, to no avail. In all that time looking I've yet to see a Wii on a shelf either.

Haven't had many problems with controllers. I see them on the shelves all the time now. I even see them in Game XChange used.

If I were you guys, I'd try Target on Tuesdays or Thursdays. We picked ours up at Target and have seen them there.
