College Hockey Championship Game Thread

That Spartan goalie is pretty little, but has some quick feet.

yeah. credit to him, and to MSU. defensively they're playing VERY well. BC has been smoking people offensively all year, so the fact it's a 1-0 game at this point speaks volumes about MSU's defense. Although I havn't really felt like they've put anything on Schneider that is remotely troubling, so at this point I don't see them getting anything other than a single garbage goal. Hopefully BC can put another one in.

UMass board is currently debating whether to ex-communicate a member for being seen on TV cheering for BC during the semi's... Personally I hate BC but I want HE to win, so I guess I'm ambivalent.

Don't tell him the true ending... I thought I'd have a little fun with him in his thread... (I'm a bastard... A friend of mine did that to me once and I watched the game waiting for the other shoe to drop... I laugh my ass off when I think about it!)

Talk about perfect timing... I was switching back and forth between the game and Ringside: Sugar Ray Leonard. I dozed off watching Ray, woke up and switched back. About 10 seconds later BAM!

What a way to win it.

Congrats to MSU, got hot at the right time and won it all. Also, Congrats to Ryan Duncan who won the Hobey Baker award.

Lets all hope that College Hockey doesn't lose to many players to the NHL this offseason.

Even against North Dakota, I thought BC was clearly very fast and talented, but I wasn't convinced they were making good decisions with the puck. I couldn't have told you what they should have done, exactly, but it would look like they were starting to create something dangerous, and then the next pass would make the situation less threatening, not more.

I think that caught up to them against Michigan State.

A bit of a bittersweet ending for me as an ND fan. On the one hand, the conference really needed MSU to win, and I was cheering for them. On the other that could have (should have?) been us.

I tried to watch this (the third period of it at least), because I have a buddy from Boston who raves about the Frozen Four. It was kind of exciting, I suppose, since it was such a close game, but I COULD NEVER SEE THE DAMN PUCK! I hate that about hockey. The only way you know if a goal is scored is if the red light comes on. That is lame!

And after three replays (all different camera angles) of the game winning goal, ESPN still didn't have a shot that actually showed the puck going into the net. That's when I turned the channel pissed off.

Did ESPN even have a camera angle that actually showed the puck going into the net?
