Questions from someone needing help
I was PM'd these questions over at the ootp forums and wondered if anyone could shed some light for this potential buyer? I don't play my games out, so anyone who does please help.

1) I don't know that anyone fully understands how the clock runs, but in the real NFL with a no-huddle if the prior play doesn't stop the clock, you need to with a timeout or spike.
2) This is a factor of your personnel's endurance rating and how often you call their number. Without seeing your roster and your play selection, I can't tell what is really going on here. You may have low endurance players, or you may need to change who is carrying the ball / catching the ball to spread it out more. 3) This is an interesting tidbit. In the game, no. But the Solevision logs actually *appear* to have this information in it. If this pans out, the FOF2k7 version of the gameviewer could get very interesting...

For point three, you can see in the box on the left the players on the field are highlighted and have parentheses next to their name with their current position. For example, Jennings (FL2).

Thanks guys. I was the newbie that MizzouRah posted about. I purchased FOF two days ago and have been having a blast doing an allocation draft to start my new franchise and playing my team's first game.
To further follow up on point #1 in case some other newbie finds this post -- There is text in the bottom of the play call window that says something to the effect "the clock will expire unless you call a timeout". I missed that before in all the times I played with the demo, but noticed it the first game I played after I purchased the game. It would help if that text were bigger and/or flashed red or something to ensure the player notices it. But, now that I'm aware I'm able to deal with it more effectively. |

Welcome to FOFC! Glad some folks were able to help you out and I'm glad you're enjoying the game. I'm in 2011 with the Raiders and I'm still trying to win that elusive Super Bowl. ![]() |

Yeah this looks like a great user community.
The 'chise I started was the Chiefs with fictional players created for the allocation draft. So, I'll be looking to ensure your Raiders don't ever make the big game! LOL BTW, I just D/Led your logo pack mod and added it to my game. Good work. |

I never noticed that. Good catch. I did notice, however, that from time to time in the playcalling window you get a wind report if it's particularly gusty. there's a really funny thread somewhere on this forum about a guy who had hurricane force winds during his game. |
