Graphic guys :

I have signed on to coach a senior league football team in the fall. They are going to be called the Fire Ants. (Inherited name). I am looking for a really cool graphic of a mean faced fire ant. Full body or just the face that I can have custom made for our helmet logo.

Can some of you graphic guys give it a whirl? I went and looked for existing logo's but I saw none I really liked.

Thanks.

I'm sure someone here can do it for you, but if not, you might ask over at the OOTP mod forum. Those guys are good and whip up fictional logos pretty quickly.

When you're looking for uniform designs, please post over at the Maximum Football forums. Please...?

I can't afford the high level of detail and maximum customization the forum would offer.

The optional add on stinger would be a nice touch though.

11-12 year olds.

If it was truly a senior Senior League, I would be recruiting from this board.

I'm no OOTP Mod guy or anything, but here's my crack at it. Colors/etc can be adjusted of course (and the flames could probably use a little touching up to smooth them out here and there).

No problem. If you decide to use it, let me know what format you need it in and if you need anything tweaked.

Everyone thought it was perfect for us.

Thank you again!

If the logo sticker makers need a different file format, I will let you know.

You're very welcome. I can dump it into pretty much any format, and I can make it a lot bigger if need be (the original is much larger than 300x300). Hopefully they won't need to redo the whole thing like some folks we've dealt with in the past...

Now about my fee. I'll be needing pix of the team in action (and I wouldn't mind a sticker, if you happen to have any extras).

Update:

It is here, finally!!

Draft day was yesterday, and I drafted the fastest kid in the draft, and an offensive lineman named Evan Fudge. (awesome)

I am ready to begin the march of the fire ants. It took forever to get here. This should be pretty fun.

Evan Fudge, that has to be one of the best Oline names I've ever heard.

Somehow I missed this the first time around. I like cuervo's fire ant better than the one i did, and his probably has less copyright issues than mine .

Good luck and I expect a dynasty!

The mighty Fire Ants was voted down by a bunch of silly soccer/football moms who raised holy hell over it. We end up being the Cowboys. How default is that??

Anyway, gametime tomorrow at 1pm. First game. I have an early interview with the ESPN PEE WEE channel, and then I am going to hit the field early to scout other teams.

It is pretty silly how nervous I get for these things.

A group of 10 of them went to the commish and told him they nor their kids wanted the name. He called and asked me if it was worth fighting over, and I just had other things to worry about.

We play the Horned Frogs. Originality is seeping across the league.

Bummer- I really liked the fire ants. Then again, I have this weird hate/hate thing with them since I'm allergic to them. I used to try and find things that killed them- not in a psychotic pull legs off sort of way but in a clinical "does laundry detergent kill them faster and better than orange juice" sort of way.

Exactly! Which goes back to the only thing I HATE about doing this is the parents. You can almost set the watch to meddling and complaining.

We haven't even had a game yet, (1pm today) and I have already had 2 parents tell me little Johnny didn't get enough playing time in practice. Trust me they are, the problem is that they are not starters. That is what it comes down to.

I am proposing pee wee leagues go to 44 men allowed on the field at the same time to appease the parents.

We just won our semi-final game 7-6 over the Black Raiders to improve our record to 8-1.

We play the Chargers in the Super Bowl on November 17th. They are the only team to beat us in the regular season, and that was because we missed a 2 point conversion at the end of regulation and lost 14-12.

I have a kid who has 22 touchdowns in 9 games, and Evan Fudge is the anchor on my pulling plays.

7-6?

14-12?

I thought you were running a SLC-esque offense?

Seriously, congrats and best of luck next Saturday.
