Roster Limit for Training Camp?

Searched this but didn't find any mention... sorry if it has been discussed previously.

But, does anyone know if there are any limits to how many players can be brought into training camp? My roster stands at 66 now after FA & the draft and although I know I have to cut to 60 players by preseason I have several I'm undecided on.

The game seems like it's willing to let me bring all 66 into camp. Is there any negative consequences to doing so? I'm thinking maybe valuable "training resources" get spread thinner as a result of (for example) bringing 4 QBs and 4 RBs for instance. If that's the case, I'd definitely cut a couple guys beforehand.

Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!

I, personally, have no knowledge of any negative effects. There isn't any known limit, to me at least, as to how many players you can bring in.

If there is some kind of penalty that someone knows about, please let us know!

You're right, it is... I just went ahead and hired 4 more $0 bonus scrubs and the game took away the option to offer any further contracts after that.

Thanks a million.

The thing that stinks is the game does not save any exhibition game stats, so if you have two guys you're looking at with similar ratings, you have to write down their game stats.

It does limit you to 70....but lets say you have 60 going into late F/A and offer 20 UDFA contracts and they all accept....im almost positive you'll end up with 80 players. However, in the next stage, you won't be able to offer any contracts.

If you sign guys right after the draft in the late F/A period there is no limit on how many you can bring into training camp. But you have to cut to 60 for the preseason. I once brought in 85 players with a lot of undrafted FA I signed right after the draft.
