Amy Fisher and Joey Buttafuoco back together...

Quote:
Long Island's two biggest losers just went from zero to 60 in less than a week. Five days after reuniting for the cameras, they say they're moving in together.

Lumpy lothario Joey Buttafuoco says he isn't about to waste any time shoring up the budding, bizarro relationship he has with former "Long Island Lolita" lover Amy Fisher - he's flying to New York from California on Friday to move into her Holtsville, L.I., home, sources said yesterday.

Fisher's estranged hubby is in the process of moving out, TV's "The Insider" reported.

Buttafuoco's comely estranged wife, Evanka, who as recently as this past weekend was spotted canoodling with her beefy hubby poolside in Palm Springs, hinted she may fight to keep her man.

Buttafuoco, 53, and Fisher, 32, were last lovers 15 years ago - when the Lolita pumped a bullet into the head of her previous love rival, Joey's then-wife, Mary Jo.

Skeptics say the pair's recent oddball bid to reunite is being spurred on by a planned reality-TV show.

It's only a story for the tabloids. But it's apparently a story nonetheless.

For the folks who don't remember this case, a refresher:

Quote:
Amy Elizabeth Fisher (born August 21, 1974), dubbed the "Long Island Lolita" by the press, is an American woman who was convicted in 1992 of shooting the wife of her lover, with whom she began an affair as a 16 year-old student at Kennedy High School in Bellmore, New York. The case drew a great deal of media attention. Fisher served seven years in prison for aggravated assault, and was released in 1999.

Yeah...most folks are saying it's a prank. But filing for divorce seems pretty extreme just for a TV show. But I guess she figures she did a bid for this dude, he owes her. And he probably just figures that she's the best he can do.

Two loose screws together..makes for must see TV, huh?

Maybe those old sitcoms weren't so bad back in the day after all. Ugh.

I guess 15 years ago is long enough that we can forget about Amy Fisher shooting somebody in the head and make a celebrity of her. The only thing sadder than people actually considering making a TV show about them is that I can't say it's the tackiest idea I've ever heard (thanks, OJ!).

Yeah, I gotta think this is going to go away due to negative publicity like the OJ book. This is horrible. But maybe people don't care enough to protest it.
