How do you find foreign players for low-tier leagues in FM 2K6?

So I experimented with one of the lower leagues and sent my scout to check out players in a couple South American countries to go dig some guys up, an idea I got after looking at the Malaysian league.

Problem being my scout keeps returning 0 players.

So where do I find those hidden gems to drag in?

And where should I find new players period for those scrub leagues?

I think the key is hiring decent enough scouts that will look for talent on the pitch and not at the strip club...

Are you scouts generally scout South America or are you trying to get a scout report on a specific player? How much knowledge does your scout have of that country? Does your chairman let you scout South America?

I used to do it by region, then I started doing it by specific country and apparently my chairman allows it because I always get the "Scout is going to "

Where would I find what knowledge they have of countries?

Isnt the whole scout knowledge thing new with the 2k7 version? I think the scouting revamp was one of the big changes for the new version. But they're all blending in together so I could be wrong.

It must be new with 2K7 as there's nothing in 2K6 about it.

I should probably upgrade to 2K7 but my luck, I'd get it and then it'd price drop if 2K8 is coming out any time soon.

yes, what henry296 talks about is all new to FM2007, i.e. country knowledge and board allowing you to scout certain countrie only. Prior to that, you could send you scouts anywhere in the world no matter how small your club was.

I'm an FM06er as well. As a small club, I've just never had any luck scouting South America.

But is a new FM due out relatively soon? That's the only thing... I don't want to get it now, only to have a new FM come out in a couple months that price-drops 2K7.

for your information, amazon.com has WWSM priced at $19.99. Not too sure how much lower it will get, but that's one hell of a good buy if you want my opininon.

I think if you are a small club, then you can not afford to scout overseas.

there's sometimes a little lag in getting the WWSM patches out, but 7.0.2 has been out long enough that it's now available for both FM and WWSM (digidownload or boxed versions).

1) Is it possible to use English terminology? (i.e. manager instead of coach)

2) Are any of Granada's teams in there as playable from the start?

3) Are more leagues included than in 2K6?
