Unhappy Prayer Request

Just got a call... My sister's husband's twin brother is in the hospital and is 50/50. Supposedly he has 3rd degree burns over 80% of his body.

I can't say I'm completely shocked, as he has some issues with drugs (and stealing to pay for them, of course.) But he and his family don't deserve this.

I, uh. Read that at first as 'some issues with dogs,' and I was wondering how that turned into 3rd degree burns.

I'll keep him in my thoughts. Just make sure when he pulls through that you tell him to stay away from Cerberus, 'kay?

That's horrible.
I know, to some extent, what your sister's in-laws are going through, and I'll keep them in my thoughts.

If there can be any "good" news in this, apparently his face wasn't burned much...

very sad to hear, he is in for a very painful road ahead, and i hope you have been told this already, but he is going to be in very critical condition for a while....the danger of infection to those wounds is astronomical, because the barrier protection of the skin has been breached...any idea how he got the burns?

i'll be pulling for him, my best to your family

He has drug problems... The crudely put-together story now is that he and a woman came running out of a crack house on fire and this was an intentional act. I initially thought he probably owed someone money. But the woman's ex-boyfriend was apparently at the hospital acting very strange...

An update...

Thanks for any prayers. I hear he came home from the hospital last week, He went thru a tremendous amount in this, with needing to be restrained, begging to let him die, etc. The woman who was with him died.

Hopefully he picks his life up now and doesn't fall back into his old ways.
