a couple FOF2001 questions...

how far has anyone ever gone in a career?

I was twice in the 2050's, but never got beyone them due to corrupted save game and failed village challenge .

I just re-discovered a "just for fun" career I had lying around that is in 2041 and decided I'd pick it back up.

Are there any technilogical advancements after the SparkleTurf BioGrass?

How long can you play for?

I played something like nine or 10 100-year careers.

In FOF2001- I currently have a career that I am in the year 2097, I have been in that year since FOF4 came out...I just keep that career saved just to look at it sometimes....Once I got past around year 2060 the game became somewhat unstable and I would have frequent crashes, so i started having to save it very very often.

I have a career in 2059, but it has become far too easy to stay under the cap. I won 9 out of 10 Super Bowls and every year I was still about 50mil under the cap. In the last few years I have created a new stadium with every single option and I consistently make 1 billion in profit per season.

I think the difficulty was only on the medium setting though so once I get the itch to play again I will try to go the distance on the hard setting. Does anyone know what difference the difficulty setting makes?

In my experience, the diffictuly setting made contract demands stiffer, trading much harder, and the overall brains of the computer teams better. I remember on medium I could have QB's routinely throw for nearly 6,000 yards a year (with my crazy pass-heavy offense). On the 'wall street' setting, I have a hard time getting over 5,000 yards.

My friend has a fof2001 dynasty all the way up to year 2367 (he stopped playing when TCY came out)... You have to pay your kicker something like 21million a year and your qb 52million...

Personally, I only like TCY and my dynasty is up to 2067....
