Pitcher trapped in bathroom between innings, pulled from game....
http://www.kansascity.com/sports/story/183510.html
Bathroom break stymies pitcher A minor-league pitcher from the Mobile (Ala.) BayBears will learn to shut the door to the bathroom a bit more gently the next time he’s at Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala. Matt Elliott — after giving up a run in the eighth inning of a game between Mobile and Montgomery — went into the bathroom behind the visitor’s dugout and slammed the door — and broke it, trapping himself inside. When it was time to take the mound again, he was still trapped. “It just locked on me,” Elliott said. “I just closed the door, and it locked.” The ordeal lasted 47 minutes before he could be freed from the bathroom, and Montgomery had won 5-4 by that time on a home run in the 10th. |

Yeah, saw that article a couple of says ago. The radio announcers were apparently having a lot of fun with it.

That can be pretty scary stuff. I got locked in a bathroom stall while on a trip to Israel. It only lasted maybe 10 minutes before I could get out, but that was long enough so that by the time I got out, I had no idea where the rest of my group was. The fact that I was on a kibbutz in the middle of nowhere made it scarier, but probably better in a way, because I couldn't get too far away. After maybe a half hour or more of wandering all over the kibbutz, I found them -- watching some movie in the room right next to the bathroom.

My dad was at the game. He told me about it like a month ago. He said they didn't say why the game was delayed or why the guy didn't come out until after the game.
