Great News For Internet Radio Fans

http://blog.wired.com/music/2007/07/...ng-news-o.html

Apparently, the copyright board that was going to raise rates 300-1200% has been completely cut out of the discussion, as SoundExchange has promised not to enforce the new rates that was supposed to start Sunday, while the two sides work directly to negotiate the new rates.

However, there's a good chance that Congress will pass the bill setting a flat fee of 7.5% of revenues.

Considering how close they left it, where a lot of groups were going off line starting sunday, this has to be considered a win for Net Radio.
