Sometimes you get the bull...
sometimes you get the horns! (nausea-inducing picture below)

I was afraid that pic was going to make its way here sooner or later.
And yeah, even though I knew what it was...I still looked again.

I like this pic of two brothers getting gored at the same time. Two for the price of one. |

I dunno if I should feel bad for them or root for the bulls. I mean seriously, who in their right mind runs in front of a bull wearing red?

Actually I believe it's not the red, it's the motion.

I would rather get a horn in the leg than a javelin in the back...

Past week has been the San Fermin party in Spain, the famous one where the people run in front of the bulls. Three days ago those two USA citizens were wounded in the San Fermin bulls running in Spain. Same day also a Norwegian, a Mexican and a Swedish. The worse one is the Mexican as the bull horn entered into his chest and he was pretty bad wounded, if he saves his life, he will be dissabled for the rest fo his life.
Most of the wounded people in San Fermin are foreign guys, as they expend the whole night before drinking and partying, while the pro bull runners take it like preparing a sport event, not drinking, sleeping well etc. The also know the basic things to do or not to do, for example, the Mexican guy did exactly what you can't ever do. He felt off between the crowd, and instead of laying there, he tried to stand up just when the bulls were passing. Rule #1 is that if you fell off, always lay down until the bulls pass and they will ignore you, standing up in front of them is calling for a deadly hit. Anyway i can't underestand the fun of running in front of 6 bulls, playing with your life, knowing that even if the stats says that only 13 guys have died in 80 years, every year a few young guys get dissabled for their whole life after a hit in their back, but it's the tradition here no matter how stupid it looks for a lot of Spanish including me.
