My work Fantasy football Draft ...
Has been very, very strange. 7 picks so far, and it's not went the way I expected. Here's the picks so far ...
First Round: #1 - Tony Romo #2 - Peyton Manning #3 - LaDainian Tomlinson #4 - Stephen Jackson #5 - Joseph Addai #6 - Drew Brees #7 - Larry Johnson (my pick) Has any of your drafts picked so many QB's in the first round this year?

Tony Romo the 1st overall pick? Maybe you can call some kind of "insanity mulligan" and start all over.

Maybe they're using some odd scoring system, where fumbled extra points count 1,000?

If I'm the #3 pick, I'm delirious with glee right now.

He's an Area Manager at work. He's already came over and claimed the season's over, that we might as well hand the trophy over to him. I'm not really surprised at the #1 pick, since the guy's a huge Cowboys fan who claims this is the year Romo climbs to greatness ("He's gonna prove Tom Brady's a wanna-be Romo" is his direct quote), but Manning and Brees also in the first round is surprising.

Pick #8 was Tom Brady. That's 4 QB's taken in the first 8 rounds.

Depends how the scoring is conducted in your league. If you're giving 6 points per touchdown pass, it makes some more sense as Manning and Brees are quite a bit ahead of anyone else.

No money, just for a trophy and bragging rights.
EA Sports' fantasy football service allows Email drafts. When a person picks, the entire group gets an email, and the the next person is in queue.

why burn a #1 overall pick on Romo when you can just pick him up after the draft is over?

A draft like this, with managers like this, is how fantasy football ends up not being fun.

Quote:
Maybe it'll even out. We just started the second round, and the first two picks were both quarterbacks. So that's 6 QB's taken in the first 12 picks (5 RB, 1 WR) so far.

I played in a church league like this 3 or 4 years ago. I went undefeated and won the league.
6 of the other 9 owners would only play the next year if I wasn't. Somehow, I was cheating. |

I can see Manning at #2, depending on the league scoring, though not really with LT still on the board. The rest of the RB picks are fine, but Brees & Brady in the first round are pretty whack. Romo at #1 is just LOL.
