If you could take only one sports videogame with you...

... to the desert island, which one would it be? You have a solar panel to provide electricity, but the island has no connection to the internets. Which game would you take?

If it happened a 6 months ago, it would have been FOF.

But if it were to happen now, it's easily BBCF. I have been playing that game through the ground in single player. And since I actually play out the games, it has been fun trying to beat out the heavy weights of college football with the mighty power of SDSU. And once in the while I succeed, while other times I get crushed.

Although the playbooks are limited and you can't flip plays, I have been enjoying this aspect of the game. It does actually feel that I have some influence over the game.

I also have it set up to where I can move conferences and teams can be promoted/relegated. Gives that FM feel to football.

For me, FM 07, since I still have so much to learn about how to play it.

Same for me. I've probably spent more time on it over the last year than all the other sports games combined.

After much debate with NCAA 2004, I'd take Madden 2006. PS2 version.

I don't even like soccer. Never watch it (not even the World Cup) and really don't have any interest in it. But FM 2007 is such a good game and a perfect match for my play style that it's by far my favorite game. As far as I'm concerned it could be some fantasy game (like Speedball or something) and I'd still enjoy it as much as I do now. I did try to watch soccer for a while after I first started playing FM2007 but it just wasn't interesting to me.

FM 07 for me as well as I can get lost in it for hours and hours without even noticing how fast the time is going. If we weren't qualifying this as just sports games, I'd pick Civ 4 (with both expansion packs.)

Plentiful seafood, and a herd of mini-cows that are about the right size for one meal if you put them on a spit.

There are a few women. Some have pretty faces but bad B.O. Others have rockin' bodies, but resemble Kathy Griffin facially.

There is a cave that they are afraid to go into because of the dark. You can bring your game there and be left alone for as long as you like. There is an underground beerstream that runs through the cave. Enviro-conscious light bulbs are located inside, but the Griffinites don't know it.

Ok, I'd stay on this island until the food ran out, and then use an internet connection to get help (I know we don't have a connection in this scenario, but IF we did...).

As for what sports videogame I'd bring... I don't know really. Haven't been playing anything recently, but a text sim would give me more replay I would think.

I actually would find that accent sexy. And that's not even schtick.

So I've made my two decisons:

1. I would bring FM. With all that time, I might actually have the patience to learn it (and soccer)

2. I will make no attempts to leave this island. Ever. If a rescue party comes, I'd hide in that cave.

I'd have to experience this for a bit... but it seems like this would get annoying after awhile.

Are they happy to please you in any way? Or will they not even look at you because you're in a cave playing a text sim?

FOF2, I think. The one right before the graphic artists got hold of it and ruined the interface.

FOF2k4 if I can take Extractor and DraftAnalyzer with me so I have a shot at the draft.

And bonus points for Kodos for continuing to set the setting for us.

They think you are fighting dangerous cave bears to protect them. Needless to say, they are grateful. Except when they nag you with "Shouldn't you be off killing some cave bears or something?"
