XP Licensing Question
I have XP on my laptop and want to install it on my desktop. I have the "temporary version" of it currently on the desktop.
My question is I need the product ID key and can't find the manual. Is there anyway to get the key from the version installed on my laptop? I realize it's probably not legal but I don't really care much. |

There's nothing illegal about find your own product key. As long as you purchased the software, you are fine. However, I am just going by the assumption that you are not going to have 2 operating systems running only one version of Windows XP since you did mention 'temporarily'.
Anyway, here are a couple of programs you can use: http://www.magicaljellybean.com/beta/ http://www.winkeyfinder.com/remository/winkeyfinder.php
