Six Feet Under? *spoilers*

Who else caught tonight's 3rd season premiere of the best show on TV?

What a great beginning. I'm right back to the borderline obsession I had with the show this time last year. I can't wait for season 2 to be released on DVD.

I'm already in a serious relationship with The Sopranos. I can't add another show to my personal life. That's too much "Must See TV" to catch up on.

It sounds like a great show, is the guy who wrote American Beauty still the writer for Six Feet Under?

yeah, Alan Ball is still head writer. I think for anyone who liked American Beauty, the show is right up your alley.

Luckily I've never gotten into any other HBO shows.. so I'm free to just be into this one.

I never knew the writer from American Beauty is the writer for Six Feet Under. Makes alot of sense though. I really enjoy both works.

I caught tonights episode but am a little confused. *spoilers*

So Nathan is alive and well and married? Or we simply may not know everything that is going on at this point?

Nate is definitely alive and well. The whole intro was apparently what he dreamt/experienced while under anthestisia during surgery. A look at how many different ways his life could have turned out. Dead, brain-damaged, happily married to Brenda, etc....

Does anyone else think Rico overreacts to everything? And as usual, Claire needs a wake-up call.

I think Rico is right about being treated like a partner, consulted on things and such. However when he flipped out about Claire being hired to transport the body, that was overreacting.

Of course it didnt appear that she delivered the body and all.......

I have to admit I'm a little confused about what happened to the body. She apparently did deliver it, because that guy in the band signed the paperwork and handed it to her..

But why was this guy and his band practicing in a crematorium? Bizzare. And Rico certainly overreacted to her delivering the body. I mean If he doesn't want to do it, why should one of the other partners have to?

Also, can someone help me out. I didn't see the final episode last season (trying to download it to catch up) and I have one question:

How did Rico go about becoming 1/4 partner? I can't imagine he actually had the money to "buy in" and purchase 1/4 of the company... so did he only become partner after threatening to leave?

Some lady on his street died. They did the funeral and when reading the will, she left like 150k to him. He apparently was nice to her(and his wife was nice). So they invested it in the business.

Her family was quite pissed about it if I remember right. They didnt see her much and got next to nothing.

thanks for jogging my memory! I forgot about that, that wasn't even in the last episode. I think the son (or was it grandson?) was going to contest the will, but apparently he either didn't or nothing came of it.

Personally, i think Fisher & Sons just needs to hire a lackey to do odd jobs. It would ease a lot of tension.

Haha ya it definitely would. Maybe hire Brendas brother, that would add a twist!

Did you notice the sign when they showed the outside of the funeral home? Its not Fisher & Sons anymore, its Fisher & Ricos last name now. That is one thing I like about the show, little things they do add.

Good start to the season. I see the Rico thing becoming an issue. I always felt sort of bad for him...those Fishers don't seem to work much, do they? Anyway, I hope they have Claire grow up a little...her disconnected attitude is getting a little tired.

Best line of the show
In one of Nate's alternate realities when the dad is still alive and they are eating dinner and David says to Nate, "If you didn't want Bush to win you shouldn't have voted for Nader."

I guess in that alternate reality, Bush won California. In real life it wouldn't have mattered, Gore still easily took California.
