Mine is a Creative Zen, but the idea is the same. The reason that I may not have heard some of these songs is that I just copy entire albums over with my Napster To Go subscription, and I don't really get around to hearing all the songs.

System of a Down - Aerials (I've actually never heard this song before)
Disturbed - Bound
Outkast (Big Boi, more specifically) - Ghetto Musick
The You Don't Hear Jack CD - PSA #1
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - Fire and Rain
Mitch Hedberg - You Were Good
Sevendust - Skeleton Song
Wesley Willis - Foo Fighters
Adam Sandler - Buddy
Seether - Burrito
Weird Al Yankovic - Let Me Be Your Hog
Me First and the Gimme Gimmes - Come Sail Away
Seether - Got It Made (I don't think I've ever heard this one before either)
Simple Minds - When Two Worlds Collide
Stereomud - What
N.W.H. (from the Fear of a Black Hat soundtrack) - Granny Says Kick Yo Black Ass
Tenacious D - Karate
Korn - Wake Up Hate
The Crystal Method - The Winner
Weird Al Yankovic - Gump

Edit to add: I really don't have that much Seether, so I curse my player for picking out two Seether tracks from the 2822 tracks I have on the player right now. Seether comes up twice, but I only get Sevendust once? I'm going to sue myself.

Right after that, my ipod crashed for only the 2nd or 3rd time ever... i guess shuffling 17,000 songs was a bit much for it to deal with.

It's 10:16 according to iTunes. That's what keeps it from being anything more than 3 stars. 4-5 star songs are ones that I would rarely or never skip. A 10 minute song is just too long to ever reach that kind of status.

But yes, awesome song.

We have pretty similar taste, based on this, in some areas. I recommend you check out The Avett Brothers, but they're mostly about live shows (which they have a number in the general area over the next week or two)

It is, yeah. It was on one of the EPs he released between his 1st and 2nd solo albums. It's a great cover.

Heh...I realized long ago that you and I have very, very similar musical tastes. I think I've even bought an album or two based on some of your posts on here.

Okay, I'm missing something. Can someone please explain to this idiot the relationship between Lord Scarlet and Wade Moore? Thx.

And LS, thanks for the tip about the band. I don't get out to see much local music anymore (working nights kinda sucks in that regards), but I'll see if I can break free for an evening to check them out.

To your first question, as people seem to be re-discovering (MikeVic last week), Wade and I are twin brothers.

As for the Avett Brothers, they are from NC but play a lot in MD and VA. http://theavettbrothers.com/shows.php

I would guess the Bull Run show would be the most accessible, and has some other things going on as well. All of these shows occur leading up to my wedding or during my honeymoon, so I'm going to miss them on this swing through, unfortunately.

dola: you may hate the band, and if so, Sorry! The opened for BR-549 last year at the birchmere. So seeing BR-549 mixed with some punk made me think of them. The Avetts (who are currently my favorite band) are a punk-energy-level bluegrass band.

Hmm, I could have had fun with this if I'd checked FOFC from work today.

Anyway, the next 20 on my "Music Only" playlist (i.e. the playlist with the audiobooks and spoken word stuff weeded out):

Enth E Nd (Kutmasta Kurt ft. Motion Man) - Linkin Park
Wild Night - Van Morrison
You Don't Know How It Feels - Tom Petty
Maybe I'm Amazed - Paul McCartney
Pretty Woman - The Kinks
Superstitious - Stevie Wonder
Trail of Blood - Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy VII soundtrack)
Too Much (Start and Depart from Paradise Mix) - The Orb
Christmas Concerto - Trans-Siberian Orchestra
100 Absolutes - DNM/Quant
Main Title (The Matrix Reloaded) - Don Davis
Time to Build - Beastie Boys
Launching a Dream Into Space - Nobuo Uematsu (FFVII soundtrack)
My December - Linkin Park
That's Progress - D.O.A. with Jello Biafra
Never Again - Nickelback
Eon Blue Apocalypse - Tool
Dreamlover - Mariah Carey
He Ain't Worth Missing - Toby Keith
5th Ave. Crazy - Local H

Hmmm. It's random listings like this that prove to me it's time to clean off some of the utter crap from my iPod.

Based on your description, I think I'd like them very much. And thanks for the explanation. I was starting to wonder if you and Wade were getting married.

We are. Me in two weeks, and him in 6 months or so, but not to each other.

I can understand the confusion. It gets mentioned in threads here and there, but I definitely realize it's not common knowledge to everyone.
