Prison Break Season 3/4(Spoilers for already aired shows)
Will michael get out of jail? Will sarah and Lincoln hook up, causing a rift between the brothers? Will the company recoup after its boy got shot? Will we still care about this show by the end of the season?
Tune in tomorrow and find out! Last edited by stevew : 11-11-2008 at 01:42 PM. |

You have died of syphilis from apparently having sex with Rupert Murdoch.

I'm wondering about this too. I think it'll get boring. The first season was cool because I liked how Michael had a tattoo for everything. The second season was decent with all the running away. I also liked some of the secondary characters in both seasons. Now the third season? What's the selling point? Can't just be a regular break out of prison... that's not special. ![]() |

I'll watch, but methinks they've stretched this idea a little too thin. It should've either ended at the end of season 2, or they should've done the predictable and stretched the prison break out into season 2 or 3.

The only thing that's keeping my hopes up for season three is that I believe there was an interview with the creator, who said the original series pitch had storylines for three seasons. So I'm under the impression that all three seasons must have sounded good for the series to get aired. If it does continue past season three somehow, then I'll be completely worried that they're just tacking on crap. |

Interesting start to season 3. I still hate T-Bag as much as ever as he is already kissing ass to get in with the big shot inside the prison.

I'll be pissed if they keep t-bag around too much longer. I mean, it's always good to have a "foil" but he's almost too dispicable. I hope they kill him off at some point, anyways.

Alright, what are the odds of that being sarah's head in the box? Although I think that might skew the dynamic of the show too much. Any thoughts?

Sarah's head was in the box. Ugh. Sorta saw that coming since she hasn't been in this season at all, but I still can't believe there won't be some "happy ending" after all.

Also, that was quite Se7en-ish. I thought the writers would be a little more original than that.

Apparently the actress that played Sarah is or was pregnant, and would have missed quite a bit of time this year. She apparently urged the producers to kill her off instead of reducing her role to basically nothing.
Should be interesting when Linc has to tell his brother that she'd been dead for many days, but he was holding it back. I think this show is done this year, there's really nowhere else for it to go. |

Maybe she can come back at the end of the season and they can write it off as a "prop" in getting Lincoln to do what they wanted him to do. I doubt it though.

Well, not that this means much, but they took her off the opening credits this week and up until this point, she was still in them. So, either she's gone from the show for good, or they want you to think that at least.

Bump, Prison Break season 4 kicked off last night.
I got to the series late, only started watching it last year, but caught up all of season 1 - 3 in a few weeks time. I actually was really excited for the new season to start, and enjoyed last night's show, but the series obviously has moved away from the title of "Prison Break" at this point. Did anyone else catch it, does anyone else still watch this show? I have a history of latching on to shows shortly after most people abandon them ![]() |

I did not watch season 3. Was it alright? Or was getting off after season 2 a wise choice...

I liked season 3 myself, but I never saw season 1 or 2 until I started season 3, then went back and watched all 3 seasons in a row in a marathon type viewing. Of course people have always said my ratings of tv shows and movies is way too light as I'm pretty easy going with my entertainment choices ![]() |

I didn't see last nights episode, but I'm pumped for season 4. I liked all the seasons, but I really enjoyed season 2 the most.
I usually wait for DVD and watch them over a week or so without comercials. |

I watched like the last 30 minutes last night and it was definitely WTF is going on territory. I'll have to find a torrent or something, cause none of the shit made sense.
Especially with the way it ended last season. |

Although the new concept might make for interesting TV. If they'd just ditch the whole "company" bullshit and go straight into A-Team/Fugitive type territory it would definitely work.

Yeah, you really need the first 30 minutes to understand. Basically what it felt like to me is they went from Program type A from last season to Program type B for this season and spent the first 30 minutes giving an explanation for the shift between the two. You probably could have watched the last 30 min without a problem if you hadn't already seen the previous seasons and had expectations for what you knew as a reality. |

I'm sure I will figure out a way to see it ASAP. This and. Sarah connor back to back make for a can't miss block to me.
I'm excited about the new format. I think the characters are good enough to make it work |

The feed on Fox is actually pretty good. Nice to see that they actually provide new episodes for free, watching a bit of commercials > hunting down a torrent.

"Did you have some bad mexican?"
I'm torn. I hated that they killed off Sarah but now that she's been brought back leads me to think she'll sacrifice herself at some point. Only good news is that they'll probably be a Sarah vs Gretchen fight. ![]()

The other night I was thinking about the massive amount of people this show has killed off. We're at like 2 dozen or more semi-regular speaking type roles that have gotten whacked. Friggin amazing.

I dunno why, but I love Rappaport. Anyways, I'm already tired of the black assasination guy. Yeah, i know the character is supposed to be heartless and all that, but he's especially a dickhead.

Plus the scenes with Black Assassin last night were unnecessarily slow. I realize it's supposed to indicate the guy's falling under the sway of drugs, but it seemed like the writers were 10 minutes short of an episode, so they lengthened those scenes instead.

She was in episode 1 of this season. She and LJ ran off while the Panamanian police were arresting Lincoln. Although I'm not sure how they'll bring her back for future episodes since she has no idea what has been happening with Lincoln since.

We watched the first four episodes this weekend and they were really good...almost to Season 1 goodness. Sure, the show is unrealistic and has a lot of "c'mon!" moments, but it's a fun ride. Unlike Lost, at least the story moves forward at a rapid pace and doesn't dicktease you.

sorry to see Belick dying, but i guess at some point they had to kill someone off again. Writers were getting bloodthirsty.
And I'm sure the black assasin guy isn't dead, too much left to chance. Interesting twist that the stupid receptionist was working for Rappaport....I really didn't see that coming. Maybe that was decided on the fly? |

I'm still watching... I have the same complaints where I feel the writers only write dialogue for 2/3 an episode and then rely on camera tricks and unnecessary flashbacks to fill in the rest of the time, but it's keeping me entertained. Bellicks's death, well, I can see why Sucre would feel some attachment maybe but everyone else hated the guy. Is everyone going to get choked up if T-Bag gets killed next? Finally, I realize Lincoln is a terrible actor, but can we try to flesh out his character farther than yelling at people to shutup the whole time? That was literally all he ever said to the Asian kid or Bellick.

Yeah, Linc is not exactly a skilled actor.
I think you're onto something with the whole 10 minutes short of each episode thing. They definitely like to repeat stuff that's already happened quite a bit. |

I'm still watching weekly. I'm not too burnt out on the show, but I think after a few weeks, I like the breaking out of the prisons better than their weekly breaking into something else. Perhaps that is only because we haven't really seen what they are breaking into yet and are having to figure that out as we go though.
Overall, still one of my preferred shows to watch each week. |

I guess the creators must have watched the Professional(Leon) recently, because they basically stole the Brothers escape from the hotel from that, almost entirely.

The end of the series. I felt as if the end of the storyline was a little abrupt (how many times this final episode did Michael get a gun pulled on him?), but the denouement was excellent.
Spoiler

I usually complain about them taking shows off the air when I am still really attached to them. This actually is a case of a show that I really liked which I think it is good to be done with. Season 1/2 (and in some cases 3), I really enjoyed and always looked forward to the next episode. I give them credit for trying to extend it to season 4 this year by turning around the intentions (instead of breaking out, they had to break into something), but it just did not really hold the same magic for me.
The way they ended the series is fine with me, was a fun show that I think I want to go back and rewatch (at least the first three seasons) over again when I get some time. |

Sorry to all the naysayers but I loved the conclusion ... teared me up with little Mike going to visit his dad's grave with all his "uncle's" there ... showed that real family doesn't have to be blood related (like the relationship between Linc and Michael) ....
there were clues the whole way before his nose bled .... he grabbed his head constantly during the final two hours and had trouble thinking the whole time .... The only character that was alive that they didn't show was Gretchen, the rumor is the writers are in talks to do it all again except from a women's prison ... Gretchen would be the perfect main character or a somewhat main character ..... Not real sure I would want to see a DVD of what happened after ... I think it concluded well enough to leave it alone

I guess the bonus 2 episodes focus on Sarah going to jail for killing Christina and Michael dying and breaking her out. Gretchen is in the same prison apparently. There was some talk of a Gretchen Morgan spin off. But I guess it didn't make the cut.
