Any tips on improving my stadium attendance

Hello all,
my first post in a long time. I have been an avid reader of the posts here, and value any input that can be provided.
I thoroughly enjoyed FOF2004 and since it came out am enjoying FOF2007 even more. I am especially enjoying incorporating the historical player data files into my game.

After playing a 40 year historical career with the 49ers from 1979,I thought I'd up the difficulty level by starting out with the New Orleans Saints from their 1st year in the league.
The challenge is certainly tougher, but I am slowly building a decent side. One thing I am having trouble improving is my home cities interest in their team.
I'm only pulling about 14-16,000 season tickets sold each year. Even though my ticket prices are 3rd lowest in the league.
My stadium is less than magnificent but I am unable to renovate until 1982 still some 8 years away.
Any tips on how I can improve crowd figures.
I've had 2 winning seasons in a row, with a 13-3 season in 1974 culminating in losing the Superbowl.
I'm now approaching the 75 draft.
Should I expect that following the relative successful last two seasons my crowd figures to increase this season?

I think you're doing the right things. Lower prices will attract crowds. Performing well will draw crowds. The average income and population of your city (NOS) will affect your attendance as well.

The only thing that I would do is try to get some popular players on your team. Fan popularity also helps.
