Injuries

Does each player have some "hidden" injury factor in his profile that becomes visible over time much like the QB's INT rating?

I have the global injury factor set at 100 and my HC has an excellent injury avoidance rating.

Thru 18 regular season games in my new league, I have a LCB rated at 72/72 who has undergone 5 different injuries. All have been in the 3-4 week range with 4 of them causing the player to be "out" for a period of time. I've set play with injuries at 50%.

I assume it is important to look at a player's injury record when evaluating trade opportunities and FA signings. True?

As players age, does the frequency and severity of injuries increase over time for a particular player?
