making changes to chemistry?

Dumb question I started with chemistry and after a few seasons I see it is more a pain in the ass than worth it so I am hoping to turn it off maybe with something like one of the utilities people have made to modify the FOF game once started. Is there a utility that can amke that change or is it just better to start over? Also, is there a way to have my coach setup the depth charts and gameplans each week as well as replace players who are hurt? I know there is aoption to have the depth chart reset each week by the coach is that it?

Unfortunately, I know of no utility nor anyway to shut off affinities when you start the game with them. The only option would be to restart a new game.

Aas to your second question, under Edit Global Options in the Global Game options menus, there are options to have the AI automatically adjust gameplans, depth charts, and sign players before every game. Hitting yes does not just change the gameplan, but causes the AI to sign players and make changes to the depth chart as well.

Try emailing solecismic support. In our MP league (started with 2k4) we had chemistry turned off. When the league was converted to 2k7, we asked if solecismic could turn chemistry on for us mid-stream in the conversion process. Solecismis was successful at doing this. So, maybe there's a shot at it.
