The Tournament of Rick: Rnd 1 - DEES vs RACHTMAN

From the Entertainment Bracket, it's the first round matchup of the annoying DJ's!

The Matchup:

Rick Dees

Rigdon Osmond "Rick" Dees III is a radio disc jockey who is best known for his syndicated radio show Rick Dees Weekly Top 40 and for the novelty song "Disco Duck." He began his weekly Top 40 show, still currently in syndication, in 1983. Rick Dees' Weekly Top 40 is currently heard on over 350 radio stations in the United States, as well as in 37 other countries. The chart show is available in three different versions, Hit Radio (for contemporary hit radio stations), Hot Adult (adult contemporary radio stations) and Rhythmic (Rhythmic Contemporary/Rhythmic Adult Contemporary radio). Dees was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame in 1999, and the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2007. He has also received the People's Choice Award and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

VS

Riki Rachtman

Riki Rachtman (born June 15, 1965 as David Alan Rachtman in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California) is an American TV and radio personality. Rachtman was the host of the radio advice program Loveline, and from 1990-1995 he hosted MTV's heavy metal show Headbangers Ball (replacing Adam Curry). His friend at the time, Axl Rose, reportedly was instrumental in him getting the job at MTV. Rachtman was a co-owner of a nightclub called the Cathouse Club (with Taime Downe of Faster Pussycat fame), which was a showcase for many of the heavy metal bands that were featured on Headbangers Ball. In 1999 and 2000 Rachtman worked with World Championship Wrestling as a backstage interviewer. Currently Rachtman owns a skateboard company called Pool School. He also hosts a syndicated rock music and NASCAR-themed radio show called Racing Rocks. He currently hosts the NASCAR.COM show NASCAR 24/7 Live and appears on NASCAR RaceDay. He is known to be a regular of the NASCAR.com chat room to advertise his show and talk to the fans for show ideas. Rachtman recently hosted the reunion show for Rock of Love friend and Poison frontman Brett Michaels.

Voting will be open for two days.

Dola. I love any bio that uses "Faster Pussycat" and "fame" in a connected manner.

Though we will not be posting an official rules thread, it has been determined that Ricks, Rikis, Riks, Rickis, Rickeys and Rickys are all eligible for competition. Riches, Dicks and Richards are not eligible. Neither are Ricardos, which pains me greatly (KAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!). Fictional characters (I'm looking at YOU, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi and Ricky Ricardo) need not apply.

I chose the other guy, since Rick Dees is a pale imitation of Casey Kasem.

If the criteria is who is the most annoying DJ, Rick Dees has to win hands down. If you're voting on who you hate the least, it's the other dude. I will have to think on this one.

Right. I just have to figure out what my criteria is.

There's also "Better known" and I don't even know who the other dude is. But. I hate Rick Dees.
