OT - Total Club Manager 2003
Has anybody here played this game? It's a Soccer Sim by (gasp!) EA. I've been looking at it, and it looks pretty neat. The forums are fairly positive.

I played the old F.A. Premier Manager series by EA a couple years ago. It was OK, menus were nice and pretty, and there were a decent amount of options, but the 3D matches sucked. Save your money and wait for CM4, you are going to get a ton more value out of that than you are the EA one.

I played the demo. It's a big improvement over the old Premier Manager game IMO, but not up to par with CM4.
I thought about buying it, but I decided to wait for CM4. |

Apparently if you want to trade glitz and graphics for realism, TCM would be for you. I've seen screenshots of matches ending in scores of 14-1 and we're not talking Australia against Micronesia or some Pacific Island nation. That's Roma 14-Inter 1. TCM is pretty, but realistic? No chance.

In my limited exposure to the demo, I didn't see anything resembling this (not to say it might not be a problem). The results I got from the game seemed reasonable and similar to results I've seen in CM. The biggest thing I didn't like about the game was the interface. It was very pretty, but seemed very disorganized and not intuitive at all. Last edited by Bee : 03-06-2003 at 08:34 AM. |
