We went and saw him last night, what a great show. I had tears rolling down my face from laughter.

Dane Cook is the Bill Simmons of comedians. Discuss.
I will reveal the correct answer later.

I'm confident that there's a timestamp bug and this was bumped from 2 years ago.

Dave Attell said it best ..
Dane Cook should perform for Alzheimers patients because all his jokes start with "Remember when" |

i liked him in 2001, and i like him now...as a comic.
yes, it was very disappointing when i heard the similarities between his bits and louis ck's on his last cd. yes, i hate him as an actor, or baseball pitchman. but every time ive seen him live, ive cracked up consistently. so shoot me. |

Dane Cook is funny.
He makes me laugh because a friend gave me his CD and I enjoyed it. His comedy special on HBO also made me laugh. If he stole Louis CKs jokes, that might not be a bad thing, because I saw Louis' horrid show and do not think is funny in the slightest. So perhaps the way the joke is told means something, and it's not just the material? |

Humor is extremely subjective and it's pretty pointless to argue about what you or I find funny.
That said, if you don't think Louis CK is funny then you're an idiot. "World's Saddest Handjob" is the Stairway to Heaven of frustrated husband bits.

I THOUGHT LOUIS CK WAS FUNNY WHEN I SAW "POOTIE TANG" BUT I DIDN'T THINK HE WAS FUNNY WHEN I WAS SCRATCHING MY BUTT ON THE DRIVE TO WORK THIS MORNING
PROBABLY BECAUSE HE WASN'T THERE

I like all sorts of comedians and typically search HBO for standup comedy.

Although, if you're referring to Lucky Louis, that was indeed terrible.

I get why other comedians get riled up when someone steals material. Not sure why the rest of us are supposed to care.

LOLZ EDIT: If his "World's Saddest Handjob" material is that good, I hope Dan Cook steals it and makes it funny. Last edited by sachmo71 : 11-06-2007 at 09:53 AM. |
