Yup another new daddy thread!

It's a boy! Mommy and the new boss of the house are doing well

I do have a story about the birth that I thought was funny. My wife had a C-section so after the birth, one of the nurses and I took my son to the nursery while my wife was going to the recovery room. The nurse who carried my son into the nursery announced who he was, the others nurses seemed a bit flustered. I guess the hospital preprinted the little index card that they were going to use to identify my son and his little crib. When I saw the card, I understood the flustered look. Under the Race category, they put Caucasian.

My wife is white, I am black. You see their dilemma.

I left to make the obligatory telephone calls to the rest of the family and then returned to find that they had changed his index card to one that did not have a spot for race. I never did find the other one they had. I thought that would have been a nice addition to his scrapbook

Congrats sir. And now I know why I never seen race printed on any of my children's cards as well. But then again, I guess I never knew that they still did.

Enjoy every moment man.

Nice little story too. You should have told them they could put him down as hispanic, as happened to my niece a lot when she was younger.

LOL...I was about to ask the same thing. It doesn't seem to matter what year, but both my kids had that same bedding and the same blue pink and white cap.

yeah, from 1997 in Pittsfield, MA, to 2004 in Quebec City, to again 2007 in Quebec City (my sister just made me an uncle, damn now I really feel old ), they all have the same blankets.

They have moved to pink caps for girls and blue ones for boys around here though.

Yep, same here. I think for both kids, even though one was born in Tennessee and the other in Virginia(I get around)

Mom vetoed all of the Dolphin, Marlin, Heat, Hurricane outfits I had ready for when he left the hospital on account of their poor performances this year
