How to cut unsigned rookie?

Is there a way? I need to be at 60 for the preseason and I don't want this bum.

You can't cut him until you sign him.

Even after exhibition season? He wont eventually just disappear into FA? Does he reeneter the draft then? He's a autodrafted bum!
