Stadiums
I am in my first FoF2007 career. I started with the Chargers in 2006 and the stadium seemed to be top notch. Very good playing surface, excellent facilities etc. However fan support for a new stadium was near 100%, which I thought was strange. Didn't see the point in building a new stadium though as the old one seemed to be fine.
Anyway, I played a fair bit, and it's now 2021. I expected the stadium to slowly deteriorate over time, but it hasn't at all. The pitch is still very good (admittedly this is realistic with good ground staff) and all the facilities are still very good too. Fan support for a new stadium is still circa 100%. So how does the new stadium mechanic work? Do stadiums have a fixed life span or not? If you have a good stadium, do you ever need to replace it, no matter how long you play? What are good reasons to build a new one other than you are filling it out every game and want a larger capacity? Do the AI ever build new stadiums? Thanks in advance for any insight. |

Ah I see. So even though it says my Parking lot and turf are fine, the fans eventually lose interest in the stadium if it is old in intangiable ways. Thats what i needed to know, thanks. Is public support for a new stadium a good indicator of how much they dislike the old one, or are they independant? Last edited by PiemasterUK : 12-13-2007 at 01:50 PM. |

I believe they're independent. You can have 100% public support and still fill your stadium 90% if you're winning a lot of games. I think that attendance is primarily based upon your performance and to a lesser degree the cost of seats, average income, population of your city, competing entertainment, and condition of your stadium affect attendance.
