Can't get 6.1a to load
I've been away for several months and have had 6.1a working just fine on my laptop, but since getting back home last week I have been unable to get 6.1a working on my desktop. The latest version I have on the desktop is 6.0e. I downloaded 1a from the Solecismic site and it seemed to load up just fine, but the game still shows 6.0e. Do I need an original copy of 6.1 before I can load 1a or is there something else I'm missing here?

If you're using Vista, see the FAQ stickied above. If not, I'd email support AT solecismic DOT com. Not having 6.1 is not the issue, though.

My desktop is not vista. I went through that drill with the laptop and got it working after much effort. I was wondering if using batchfiles could be the problem. Never was on the laptop.

I don't know if this was in the FAQ, because I don't think it's a Vista specific problem. This is what happened to me: At some point, I think I re-named the main application file in the FOF2007 directory. The App file should be "FrFoot2007". Mine was "Front Office Football 2007". When I downloaded 6.1a, it should have replaced "FrFoot2007", but since mine was different, it just added in a new application file to the folder. So then my shortcut went to the "old" application file. So, check out your FOF2007 directory and see if there are two application files. |
