Game Plan Adjustment Help

I am trying to find a way to prevent my team from kicking a FG on 4th and 1 when down by 4 points with less than like 3 or 4 minutes in the 4th quarter. I'm not sure if the game will let me be this specific but I'd like to get as close as possible.

Also, what is the best way to get your team to go for 4th and 1 more often all game long? It seems 1 yard is tied in with more yardage than just itself unfortunately.

Thanks!

I have that problem too, the issue is that we have only one "going for 4th" situation in the strategic screen and it's not enough. For example, i would always go for 4 & 1 unless winning, but if i set it to 100% then i'll also go for 4th & 10 that i wouldn't ever want unless at the end of the game.

Maybe we should have the option to set the % for 4 & <3 and 4 &>3 (or to have an AI smart enough to decide for us).

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's incorrect.

There is no modification if there's one yard to go, but percentages drop sharply if there's more than one yard to go for the first down.

Part of the issue too is the field position. I'd love to go for it far more often in opponent territory, but there is no field position for that. And agreed that we need more control over the distance settings. More and more teams are starting to get aggressive about going for it on fourth down in the real NFL (led by the undefeated Patriots, for example).
