Typical choke for my alma mater

My alma mater Valparaiso was leading #11 Butler with one minute to go. Valpo gets fouled with about 25 seconds to go up by one in a one and one situation. The player who goes to the line proceeds to air ball the free throw. Butler ends up winning the game by three. Valpo cannot seem to win games at the end when they have a chance to do so against a very good team. Oh well. At least Bryce Drew's miracle shot seems to get replayed a hundred times every March.

After seeing how the Lebron thread played out last year I'm putting my money on Valpo reaching the NCAA title game now.

Yep, I'm looking forward to seeing that again. It really was amazing.

By the way, speaking of Bryce Drew, whose dick is he sucking for rent money now anyway?

At least Valpo moved up a step in conference (from the former mid-con to the Horzion League). It's not a huge jump, but it's definitely the 2nd or 3rd best mid-major conference (behind the MVC). With Wright State & Cleveland State improving and the addition of Valpo, the conference is as strong as I can remember in the 11 years I've been following it.

Depends on what you're calling a mid-major, but to me it goes A-10/MVC/CAA as the top 3. To me the Horizion is 4th at best.

That being said, definite step up from the mid-con.

I agree. It was a great move for the university. In addition to the Horizon being a much more prestigious conference, the move has also helped save the athletic department money in terms of travel since the Mid-Con (now Summit) is much more spread out. A few of the teams in the past have had trouble staying within their budget in the past so the move was big.

For the record, I only asked this because Bryce Drew sucked my dick when I lived in New Orleans and he played for the Hornets.

He's fabulous, incidentally.
