Outgoing message CANNOT be deleted!!!! (Outlook)

WHY WHY WHY can I not delete this huge email I tried sending (attachment)? I understand it is "processing" or whatever and is not going to work so why must it linger in my outbox and slow down MY ENTIRE computer?

Please help?!?!

I always just start killing processes until I can do something. Maybe that's not the best approach, but it works for me.

Yeah me too but I've restarted the computer even and all I keep getting is some asinine message about how the message has already begun sending.

This is Outlook 2007.
