Diamonds in the Rough (spoilers)

I would think that most players nowadays would like to do their own scouting, but I didn't know if anyone would like to talk about their top grabs, or players they've noticed explode into the ranks.

I have played Caen, Wolves, and debated on a German team. I keep my leagues small (England, France and Germany - all leagues). I have selected Brazil, England, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Finland, United States for my player pools(that I recall). I did read that if you don't select the player pools from the leagues you play in, you won't get all the players of the league (how odd?)

The thing I like mainly about France is the complete avoidance of work permits. Yes you can only have 3 non-EU players, but that is so much easier of a work-around than a will he get it/not/appeal thing.

I enjoy reading Frogman's dynasty, I see the others have petered out. I was going to do a Caen one (with Khan being a play on the name and me being Captain James T. Kirk), but alas that may be more ambitious than I can write.

Glad this area is going to get some activity again.

thanks for the kind words, glad you enjoy the reading

I gotta say that one thing I really enjoy now is the scouting, especially the fact my board started by restraining where I could scout, or how many scouts I can have. Gone are the days when my little Luton side could send a scout to Brazil, another to Spain, another to Italy, another to ... When we were in League One, I was only allowed to scout the immediate area (UK and around) and i can now scout the continent. I like looking at the list of players my scouts find and limit myself to their evaluations of players to decide who to sign or go after. Certainly means a much better immersion factor...
