when has there been an official announcement of something to be released months away? Usually just a few days before release, right?

I hope so too, but think it will be TCY2 to be released months later.

I think he will announce he is retiring, and selling his company to Wintervalley Custom Software.

I'm crossing my fingers for a TCY2, but I'm thinking it's probably a licensing or publishing deal.

It's nice to see that there is a consensus on what it is going to be.

Doesn't the first American Idol Round of 24 show air about two hours before the 20th?

I am trying very hard to read into this for clues. So I hope this wasn't just some random thought.

Okay, lets break this down

first American Idol = 1st game
Round of 24 + 2 hours before the next day + 20th = 24 + 10 + 20 = 54 cards in a deck.

Dammit, it's the card game.

Yes. If you include the jokers, there are 54 cards in the deck.

FOFC has its share of jokers and we aren't afraid to include you.

It's a horse racing sim. But instead of horses, you'll be raising young Russian tennis playing girls and try to win the French Open and Wimbledon.

I definitely missed the thread that first discussed a possible card game, and I just tried searching for it and got my first white screen "fatal error" message in FOFC history (bad omen?). Can anyone explain/link a thread?

I pretty much know I'll have no interest in this, but if it's priced well enough, I'll throw Jim a bone and give him my money.

Jim talked about developing a card game in a thread where he asked people to send photos of their wives/girlfriends for use in the game. I don't think he ever described the game, other than it would have something like a Shakespearean theme.

We have a lot going on here tonight, holding our own celebration and, of course, watching Idol. So it's probably going to be well after midnight before I close the sale and update the main page.

"Well after midnight" = more than an hour, I'd imagine. I haven't seen anything, and I'm going through my F5 key more than I do on IHOF Bowl days.

I'm tempted to sim the 1983 Super Bowl and write up the game report to pass the time waiting.

Well, I'm glad you're pleased, even if your exuberance is a little unusual in its manifestation.
