Looking For an old school RPG

Okay i am looking for an old school type fantasy turn based rpg. I guess it does not have to be turn based since i really enjoyed the Icewid Dale/Baldurs Gate games. I am looking for something that allows you to create a party ala Icewind Dale rather than adventuring with one character. I already have most of the old games to include Diablo. Any ideas?

You played any of the Spiderweb Software games?

Avernum, Geneforge, etc...? Fantastic old school games. Avenum moreso if you're looking for party-based.

if you are playing PC...wizardry 8 is great

if you have a wii...i pulled Shining Force from genesis down off virtua console...having a lot of fun with it.

nope....6 to 8 characters in the party (6 regular spots, 2 specials that join or leave at different parts in the story). you decide the action and target for all 6 players every turn during combat.
