Okay, thanks for the thoughts but I think I better set this straight fast. I thought someone would quickly recongnize the dialogue form OOTP5. It's my pregnant OOTP5 wife that left me, not my real life wife. Sorry, if this was in bad taste. I thought for sure someone would recognize the statements.

At the risk of sounding super-insensative....that sounds like the line from OOTP5 in managerial mode.

I was getting ready to ask if you were referring to OOTP, but figured it would be very insensitive if you were not.

Now what I haven't found out yet is if the kid will be attributed to me or the bastard she was probably sleeping with!

The baby's name will probably give you a clue: Marmel, Jr.

If the kid's a lefty, claim him. He could be your hot new pitching prospect in 2021.

That would have been terrible. And yet, a very entertaining threadjack.

Tarkus: My pregant wife left me!
Hammer: Do you mean in OOTP5?
Tarkus: No! In real life!
Hammer: Oh, OK, because it sounded like OOTP5.
Shorty: Speaking of OOTP5, anyone had their kids make the big leagues yet?
Ksyrup: Yes, but then he disappeared after his third season. Is this a bug?
Tarkus: Um... guys?
Joe Stallings: Ksyrup, it's a known issue, see the tech support forum.
Ksyrup: OK, thanks!
Tarkus: I'm really depressed here...
SirFozzie: Don't forget to join my new league!
HornsManiac: Are the Braves taken?
Tarkus: Guys... I.... I think I'm going to end it.
SkyDog: Buy my new CD!
Tarkus: (bang)
... awkward silence ...
SirFozzie: Braves are still available. Sign up now!

You know someone will have created the ultimate sports sims when they start confessing their sim dilemmas with their shrink. "I don't know why she left me doc..." "He was everything doc. Top rated, fast, number one in college, I don't know how he ended up a bust..."

I have no idea what's happened to the kid. More than a year has passed and no word. Someone better tell Markus my wife is a divorce attorney and if that kid doesn't show up soon I'm coming after his ass!

Good stuff! BTW, I understand that there is a "bug" of sorts in that when you get divorced before the baby is born, the kid never shows up in the game.

Just staying true to my character.

My wife of 6 years has pooped out 5 children (2 boys, 3 girls). The woman musta been maxed out, because she didn't even give me the chance to desire a 6th child (button disappeared). So I divorced her ass. Married someone else a year and a half later, and the button is still gone!

Now that I know you can only have 5 children, I am sad about my divorce. Shucks.

I would bet the kid belongs to the other guy. If I was Tarkus I would get a lawer and sue the other guys ass off under the alienation of affection law.
