Help Me Fight Against Cancer

Hello everyone! Thank you for taking the time to read this!

Earlier this year I was inspired by my good friend Jason to begin to make a difference. Back in 2006 he started training for the LIVESTRONG bike race to help raise money for cancer awareness and the fight against cancer.

This year I've decided to join him in the fight. Only I won't be doing it with the help of any wheels, I'll be using my own legs to run in a 5K race for the first time.

I would really appreciate any help you can give me in my goal to raise as much money as possible for a cause we all know is of grave importance.

Please click the link below and donate whatever you can, even if it is just $5 you're making a difference.

http://bayarea08.livestrong.org/jeheinz72

Thanks,

John

I just want to chime in here.

I know many people judge a persons credability here based on post count, I'm not here to argue that fact. I just want to point out that JE is a regular on the werewolf forum, so even though he has under 100 posts he is actualy a very active member of a part of the community.

I agree with Lathum. Also FWIW, it's not possible to give $1. You must give at least $5.

Hey, I'm changing jobs and although I'm getting a "bump" in pay, I'm not entirely sure how it pans out when I have to pay for health insurance, etc.

Yeah, and he doesn't repeat himself over and over just to increase his post count!

How long do we have to donate?

He's also a HoFer at OOTP, and a very well respected member of Total Sports World. I just wanted to back up Lathum's words, and help Heinz's efforts any way I can here.

BUMPAGE!

The run is in a bit over a month so I thought I'd give this a bump for any donors. Training has gone well and last week I ran the full distance on a street for the 1st time. Should be good to go for race day.

Thanks in advance!

If I get to my goal ($5k), I will seriously do this.

No joke, since I'm in the shirt printin' business anyhow.

So Heinz, I just got your update on Facebook that you've hit $7k in donations - which is amazing! I'm wondering if the offer for the ketchup porn t-shirt still stands???? If so, I'll make my donation today

Yeah, it stands. If I get to my goal (which is $5k personally, I'm at about $2200). I'll absolutely make and ship the shirts for those who donate and want one. No doubt.

It's only fair to mention though, that at best I'd put myself at 40/60 for getting to $5K. The facebook message I sent should get me to $3Kish (I sent it to 250 people) and I have some heavy hitters, but when I get back in town I'm down to 2 weeks left to fundraise.

So get those donations in NOW!
