CarGo Hits For Cycle

Carlos Gomez just hit for the cycle against the White Sox... in reverse order (HR, 3B, 2B, 1B). He's probably the most unpredictable player I've ever seen. You never know what he's going to do. Most of the time he just looks bad. Then he goes and hits for the cycle.

The back years of that trade could make the Mets look very bad.

Guerra will need to be, at worst, a notch below what Santana is now for that trade to ever look bad.

I dunno.

Lets say the MEts don't win a world series and 5 years from now Johan is a 35 year old making 28 Mil going on and off the DL while CarGo ( lol) is the next Soriano or whoever.

Not saying it will happen and not saying the Mets shouldn't have made the deal.

I'm just saying.

But you can say that about any trade, and there have been many trades made by teams where more has been given up in terms of prospects for less in return in terms of talent (in this case, the best pitcher in baseball who's still young, even though not cheap). Show me the GM who is scared to pull the trigger on a deal like this, and I'll show you the GM who won't last long and won't win anything.
