John Posey probably hates Bob Saget.

Apparently this re-casting of characters stuff used to happen a decent amount of the time with network pilots.

I'm trying to think how the world might have been different had the role not changed. Other than John Posey would have hosted America's Funniest Home Videos and Bob Saget would have been a minor cameo role actor, I'm not sure the world would be any different. Unless Bob Saget was the barrier to world peace -- and I'm not ruling that out.

This is like one of those Twilight Zone episodes or movie where someone goes back in time and changes one minor thing (like stepping on an insect) and everything is perfectly unchanged... until you look closely.

Someday the "Eric Stolz as Marty McFly" tapes will surface....whether we're ready or not.

The original Joe on Newsradio was not played by Joe Rogan. And we all know, of course, that William Shatner was not the original captian of the Enterprise.

Other than that, I can't think of any pilots I've seen that recasted characters (not that I spend a lot of time watching and remembering TV pilots), but I'm sure it happens with regularity based on execs and focus groups (like the endings to movies being recut).

Bob Saget has to be one of the biggest non-talents to hit it big in TV history...ever.
