Dumb LB Blitzing Question
In the 4-3, which OLB would be the one you'd expect to blitz most often? Or is this all set through the misc def settings?
In the 3-4 the blitzing OLB is the WLB, yes? as he's replacing the RDE? |

In the 4-3, it all depends on what your settings are in your gameplan.
In the 3-4, you have one DT, two DE's. The WLB is blitzing on every down (except in the dime). You can also have your other three LB's blitz, as well, but those are based on your settings. Basically, in the 4-3 you have four linemen rushing, the 3-4 three linemen and one linebacker rushing. Quote:

In the 3-4, for purposes of the pass rush (and how the stats are assigned), yes, the WLB becomes the RDE and the RDE becomes the RDT.

so the fact that my WLB has no pass rush skill at all, a zero, is ok as I play a 4-3 and never have the WLB blitz...well atleast according to my setup.
