Greatest legal ruling ever! (Texas-Arkansas rivalry based)

There is currently a lawsuit between some people in Texas and Wal-Mart. The parties were unable to reach an agreement as to where the depositions would be held. The following link is the judge's order as to where the depositions would be held, and his reasoning for picking the location. Who said judges don't have a sense of humor!

Texarkana is the first place I though of before clicking the link. Then I clicked the link and feel that can't be real. If it is that is one funny judge.

Well, he's definitely a real judge, and he's also a graduate of UT law school, so it seems plausible. This same document also appears to be making the rounds of some legal/judicial blogs and such, including one devoted to finding unusual orders, rulings, judgements, etc.

Seems no worse than 50-50 that he really did write it the way we're seeing it.

I just looked it up on the court's docket sheet. It is the document that appears when you call it up. Unless someone took the trouble to post a fake document to the docket (which I imagine would end up getting someone in a lot of trouble), it is real.

I don't doubt it is real. I've seen numerous humorous pleadings, including orders and motions, written in poetry.
