The Banana Poll

Let me hear you say this poll is bananas
B-A-N-A-N-A-S
(This poll is bananas)
(B-A-N-A-N-A-S)

Okay, seriously.. I'm eating a banana and it's very ripe, mostly brown with hints of yellow and I realized I like yellow bananas with a hint of green. So what kind of bananas do ya'll like?

I don't eat bananas anymore because I think I get some kind of allergic reaction to them.

But I'll eat Gwen Stefani.

the brown creeps me out. not when it's on the peel, but the brown spots in the banana. so i go for yellow with a hint of green

This poll was not what I was expecting.

Not quite as disappointing as if you'd titled this thread "Cucumbers", but disappointing nonetheless.

Woould it have been better if a banana was photoshopped next to whats her name's mouth in the picture up top?

According to Alton Brown of "Good Eats".. bannanas are at their best for consumption when they are yellow with a hint of brown.

When I was growing up, we really didn't have cereal in the house so 'cereal' sometimes consisted of bananas sliced up in milk and then sugar poured over it which would create a nice liquid mass of sugar milk in the bottom.

Come to think of it... we poured sugar on alot of stuff. Raisin bran - sugar, Puffed Wheat - sugar, French Toast - sugar (and I aint' talkin' about the powdered sugar. I'm talking about the cane sugar. Hell, I would have probably dropped in sugar cubes if we had them)

I didn't have the most healthy parents in the world teaching me. Plus, we must have been alot more ef'n poor than I realized if I was reduced to eating sliced bananas in milk.

We ate bananas in milk all the time (with sugar on top the same), although not usually for breakfast, more as a snack. I still like it as a little treat once in awhile.

I stand corrected. I guess we weren't poor, we were Canadian.

They call me mellow yellow.

They don't call me mellow yellow with a hint of green.

If you have a hint of green you won't be smokin the mellow yellow.

If I'm eating them, I like 'em yellow with a hint of green or all yellow. I like them firmer (yes, go to town with that), in part because I put them in cereals (Cheerios and oatmeal). If I'm making banana bread, the browner the better.

I like them yellow, with a hint of green. Once they get a little brown, I'm done. My wife will occasionally salvage them into banana pudding, but usually they die an undignified death. I have a very brown one that got forgotten and is in the fridge. No one has removed it yet. I'm hoping it will leave on its own.

Bananas are supposed to be yellow.

Loved the Banana Splits. I used to watch it all the time. They had Speed Racer as one of the cartoons in their show.

H. R. Puff n' Stuff was da bomb, before da bomb.
