E-mail attachment problems
I noticed that ever since I installed AVG Anti-Virus, my e-mail attachments are all getting hung up in virtually every email I have, save for my university e-mail.
I uninstalled Norton to see if there was a conflict between the two antivirus programs that was causing the problem, but I'm still having difficulties. I tried using DropSend to send a file this morning and noticed the attachment problem is -still- there, to the tune of 0.1 KB/S upload. Any ideas? I've been the last few days over the inability to attach larger files that zipped through gmail, et. al. before without any problems.

I dont have AVG, but cant you just turn off email attachment scanning?
You might have a reason for not doing this, but figured I'd ask first. |

Hmm...what is the difference between your university email and your other email?
Do you use outlook for the other email, and a webmail-setup for uni? Could be an outlook setting. I dont have my outlook setup on my home CPU, but I'm pretty sure there are settings related to outgoing email scanning. I believe you can also specify which anti-virus to use...so if you have uninstalled and/or stopped a given anti-virus, that could possibly be hanging it. Though...this assumes you use outlook. |

Ironically enough, uni email uses some type of Outlook Express, whereas gmail, yahoo (as an experiment), etc. are all what they are obviously. I just use Firefox for all my various e-mail addresses; no specific program in particular. But I'll try hunting around in Firefox when I get back to my laptop to see if I can find something in the security settings or some such.

Can't find anything related to e-mail virus scanning in Firefox options.
I'll try uninstalling AVG and see if that fixes it.
