I wonder what the guy is doing for a living now? I didn't notice it mentioned.
Good story though, sounds like a lot of work.

Ah, my bad for missing that.
Feel bad the guy couldn't to his 30th year. I know there is a difference in benefits there.

Real stand up guy. In similar circumstances, a lot of lesser guys might bail.

If you have never been a stay at home parent, then you have no idea of the work involved. I assure you, he is working harder now - especially with a wife who is as ill as Jennfer Davis is - than most people ever work. Was going to say "working harder than he ever did before" but as a Marine who was stationed in Iraq, I'm not sure that would be accurate. But being a stay at home parent is ALOT of work. I do it with 1 kid, I can't imagine doing it with 4. |

The way I read it, I'm going to guess that was lighthousekeeper's point. I'm sure most people these days recognize what a ridiculous amount of work being a stay-at-home parent is. The stuff this guy's dealing with on top of that is just amazing. |

After reading it again, you might be right...when I first read it, I took it the "retired from work" comment at face value. My apoligies to LHK if I misinterpreted what he meant ![]() |

I'd work in an office every day of the week compared to staying at home where you can't "escape" work.
Happy father's day to all of us fathers! |
