Thumbs....gone!! WTF?

Flipping around and saw Ebert & Roper was on. Started watching because they were reviewing Get Smart. Waiting for the thumb up/down and....it isn't there.

Now they have

See It
Rent It
Skip It

When did the thumb get the heave-ho? What is the world coming to?

P.S.-If this happened a year ago and has been discussed...Deal with it.

Yeah, I was outraged when I saw this too. It's okay, though; it was a Siskel & Ebert tradition and now none of them are around.

Ebert hasn't even been on the show for like 2 years. I guess he plans to come back, but I bet the thumbs got tossed out when he had to leave.

I read that Ebert trademarked the thumbs.

That show is done anyway. Roper is quitting and they are going with a completely new format this fall I think.
