Will airfare prices come down.... and when?
I am planning a trip to Vegas in 2 or 3 months and was wondering if the experts have predicted a price drop for things like plane tickets and hotel rooms.
If so when do they expect us to start seeing the results? If you guys don't know it is okay, but I thought one of you could have read or heard something about it. HornsManiac |

Good question. I'm holding off on tickets to Denver for June, waiting to see what the war would do to prices.

I think that the airlines have so many problems that fares may not be tied just to the war. Because you have some time to kill, you should just keep checking over and over on multiple sites and grab the magic fare when you find it. I wouldn't force myself to settle on a bad fare until about 21 days before the trip.

Maybe I'll see you out there ... I already used a bunch of FF miles to get tickets for my wife and I. |

I read in the paper today that some airlines will allow passengers to postpone their flying while the war is going on. So if you decide not to fly, you can just exchange the tickets for a later date. Doesn't really help you if you don't already have tickets, but just thought I'd let people know.

We're going to Colorado Springs for vacation...at least that's the plan. By then, I'll need a vacation from the humidity and heat in Tallahassee. Most people go to the beach in summer - I try to go someplace cool! I was looking at Toronto or Vancouver as well.

C Springs is a nice place, at least from what I remember from years ago. We started our honeymoon in CO last summer. I definitely prefer to go to cold or cooler places for my vacations. I went to CO to ski in January, and this summer, it's for my brother's wedding north of Denver. I'm really getting to know DIA. |

Actually, I was thinking that the increased risk for terrorism would ground most passengers and force the airlines to beg for business like they did after 9/11. Has anyone heard if my hunch is accurate?
Oh, Colorado Springs just might be the most beautiful city in America in my book followed by Flagstaff, AZ. HornsManiac |

I thought the same thing, but when I tried to book a flight for this weekend (thinking no one was flying), the prices were extremely high. I didn't notice alot of super savers either. |

Going to Jackson Hole on Saturday. Guess I won't be able to get cheaper tickets.
