Neat little under the hood thing I never noticed(the fans care!)
I recently started a new career with the Packers using the game rosters. Anyways, Adrian Petersen was a BMF in the game, something like 95/95. So obviously I wanted to trade for him. However he was a fan favorite, so, of course that means no dice in the trade.
Anyways, 2 seasons later, he's still a god among men, and I notice he held out. And suddenly his popularity had to have significantly dropped, cause he was only "well liked" at that point. Of course, I picked him up, just to try to do a stat whore career. Anyways, I don't catalog files, but I checked this out with a player in WOOF. Wade Irvin is probably the greatest back in league history, and he was recently traded. Before the trade, he's listed as a Fan Favorite(78). After the trade to Lowcountry, he's still a Fan Favorite(78). However, once FA2 starts, he believes that being labeled a franchise player is restricting his income, so he holds out. Popularity now? Well Liked(58) It probably doesn't mean jack shit, but I thought it was a cool little touch. Anyways, apologies if this was noticed EONS ago, or if it's in the in game documentation(which I never read) Last edited by stevew : 10-01-2008 at 11:39 PM. |

I'm not sure if fans like guys who turn down contracts either - I have a rookie DE who was a 43 pop in the draft, and later on my roster having signed after turning down his first offer, he was at 36. Was PoG in a preseason game, and was up to 39. Right now, he is unhappy (a rookie! after five games!), and his popularity is down to 35.
